A man draws Rs.590 through cheque from a bank. If he received 70 notes on total of the notes of Ts.10 and Rs.5,then write the number of the notes of Rs.10 and Rs.5.​

Answer:

total money = 590/-

no of notes recieved = 70

he got notes of 10 and 5

as no of notes is 70

                        let the number of 5 rupee notes be 'y'

                         no of notes of 10 rupee notes be 'x'

  y+x = 70

    x  = 70-y----------(1)

as total value of money is 790

5y+10x = 590

 5y+10(70-y) = 590   [ from eq(1) x=70-y]

5y+700-10y=590

700-5y = 590

700-590 = 5y

110    =  5y

110/5  = y

 22  = y

from eq (1)

x = 70-y

x =70-22

   x= 48

hence there are 22, 5 rupee notes and 48, 10 rupee notes.
