A man dressed in all black is walking down a country lane. Suddenly, a large black car without any lights on comes round the corner and screeches to a halt. How did the car know he was there?

It was because it was day time. In day time, there's no need of headlights, and a car will halt even if the man is dressed all in black, because the car-driver can naturally see him very easily in day time. : )
