Given :- A man earns a commission at 10%. When he sells product of value more than 20k, he earns bonus of extra 5% on the excess of sales above 20000, if he earned 2600 total commission, find bonus amount ?
Solution :-
→ Commission upto 20000 = 10% .
so,
→ Commission value = (10 * 20000)/100 = Rs.2000 .
now, after 20k
→ Commission : Bonus = 10 : 5 = 2 : 1 .
given that, total commission is 2600 .
therefore,
→ Bonus amount = (2600 - 2000) * (1/2) = 600 * (1/2) = Rs.300 (Ans.)

Given : A man earns a commission at 10%.
When he sells product of value more than 20k, he earns bonus of extra 5% on the excess of sales above 20000,
he earned 2600 total commission,
To find : bonus amount
Solution:
10 % commission on 20000 = (10/100)20000 = 2000
He got commission = 2600
Hence sells product of value more than 20k
Let say value of sell is 20000 + 100x
Then Commission without bonus = (10/100)(20000 + 100x) = 2000 + 10x Rs
Bonus will be on 100x as its above 20000
and Bonus amount = (5/100)100x = 5x Rs
2000 + 10x + 5x = 2600
=> 15x = 600
=> x = 40
Hence bonus amount = 5x = 5 * 40 = Rs 200
bonus amount = 200
