Answer :

Given -

  • Force = 25 N
  • Pressure = 20 Pa

To Find -

  • Area over which force is applied ?

Solution -

Pressure is said to be Force per unit area.

Pressure = Force/Area.

⇒ 20 = 25/Area

⇒ 20*Area = 25

⇒ Area = 25/20

⇒ Area = 1.25 m²

Hence, Area over which force is applied = 1.25 m².

Some Additional Information :

  • Weight is the force with which it is attracted towards the earth.

  • Mass is the measure of its inertia.

  • Thrust is the perpendicular force to the surface is called thrust.

  • Pressure is defined as force upon area.

  • Pressure = Thrust or Force/Area.
