a man expand 25% on food, 20% on rent and 10% on education of his income. if after paid a tax of rs 75 he has rs 465 left then what is his salary?

Let the salary was ₹100


Total expenditure= 25 + 20 + 10 = 55

Remaining money = 100 - 55 = 45

Tax paid = 75

Last remaining money = 465


Now see, before the paying of taxes he had the remaining money ₹465 + 75 = 540


So, now using Unitary Method


If the remaining money is ₹ 55 the salary was ₹100


If the remaining money is ₹540, the salary was = (100/55) x 540


= ₹981.82 (app.)
