A's 1 day work = 1/18

B's 1 day work = 1/9 [because B take half time than A]

(A+B)'s one day work =

= (\frac{1}{18}  + \frac{1}{9} )

= (\frac{1 + 2}{18} )

= \frac{3}{18}

= \frac{1}{6}

So in one day 1/6 work will be done.

A is taking time 18

B is taking time 9

average = 9+18÷2
