A man first stands and then lies down on a sandy beach. In which case will he sink deeper and why?

 weight ts a type of force that acts vertically downwards.force that is our body weight acts perpendicular to the area of our feet.and when we lie down the same force acts on an area equal to contact area of our body which is much larger than the area of our feet that is why our feet go deep into sand than the dept of the body when we lie  over the sand. 10/9/15, 7:38 PM
