15/15= 1 whole

2/5+1/3=

6/15+5/15=15/15

11/15=15/15

15-11=4

4/15 is wife's fraction

A man gave \sf{\frac{2}{5}} of his property to his son.

→ Property of son = \sf{\frac{2}{5}}

Also, he gave \sf{\frac{1}{3}} of his property to his daughter.

→ Property of daughter = \sf{\frac{1}{3}}

Rest of his property he gave to his wife.

We have to find the fraction of the property of his wife.

Property of wife = Remaining property.

So,

Remaining property = 1 - (Property ofson + property of daughter)

i.e.

\sf{1\:-\:(\dfrac{2}{5}} + \sf{\dfrac{1}{3})}

\sf{1\:-\:(\dfrac{6\:+\:5}{15})}

\sf{1\:-\:\dfrac{11}{15}}

\sf{\dfrac{15\:-\:11}{15}}

\sf{\dfrac{4}{15}}

•°• Property of his wife is 4/15
