Let the man have total mony=100
He gave elder son =35
Now remember. The money =100-35=65
Now he gave to younger son =65*40/100=26
Now he left money is =100-(36+26)=39
Mean 38.....11700
Then 100....11700*100/39=30000
So he had 30000rs
