Given data : A man gives 25% of his property to his son and 2/5 to his wife and the rest to his daughter, if the daughter gets Rs 84000.

To find : What is the total worth of the man property ?

Solution : Let, the property of the man be x and his divided property his son, wife and daughter be a, b and c respectively.

Now, here percentage of a, b and c :

⟹ a = 25%

⟹ b = 2/5 * 100 = 40%

⟹ c = ?

Take property of man x = 100%

⟹ x = a + b + c

⟹ 100 = 25 + 40 + c

⟹ 100 = 65 + c

⟹ c = 100 - 65

⟹ c = 35%

Here we know that c = Rs 84000

Now, to find the total worth of the man property, (we use percentage formula)

⟹ 84000/x * 100 = 35

⟹ 84000/x = 35/100

⟹ 84000/x = 0.35

⟹ x = 84000/0.35

⟹ x = Rs 240000

Answer : Hence, the total worth of the man property is Rs 240000.
