a man goes 120m towards east and 160m towards North. How far is he from the starting point.
Please solve this with all the steps using Pythagoras Theorem

the man moved 120 m towards North
and then 160 m towards East
therefore displacement= s

120²+160²=s²
14400+25600=s²
s²=40000
s=200 m

u know that the square of perpendicular and square of base is equal to the square of hypotenuse ie
=120^2+160^2=hypotenus square
=14400+25600=200^2
ur answer is 200
