30 km upward then 40 km right. This forming a right triangle. Hupotenuse or distance=

H^2= B^2+P^2

H^2= 30^2+40^2

H^2= 900km^2+1600km^2

H^2= 2500km^2

h = \sqrt{2500 {km}^{2} }

Hypotenuse= 50km

Hope it helps☺
