 {24}^{2} + {7}^{2} = 576 + 49 = 625 \\ \sqrt{625 } = 25m

Let \: \: his \: \: distance \: \: from \\ the \: \: starting \: \: point \: \: be \: \: x. \\

Now, \: \: By \: \: Pythagoras \: \: Theorem \\

 \: \: \: \: x {}^{2} = 7 {}^{2} + 24 {}^{2} \\

 = > x {}^{2} = 49 + 576

 = > x {}^{2} = 625 \\

 = > x = \sqrt{625} \\

 = > x = 25

Hence, \: \: his \: \: distance \: \: from \\ the \: \: starting \: \: point \: \: is \: 25m.
