average speed-
10+20/2
=15m/s

average velocity=0
as he comes back to the same point from where he started.

Answer:

The correct answer of this question is  13.33m/s.

Explanation:

Given - A man goes on a straight path from A to B with speed 10m/secand comes back with speed of 20m/sec.

To Find - Write about the average speed and average velocity .

According to the question,

Net displacement is 0 and the average velocity = 0

Now, let  distance between A and B be x .

and time taken from going from A to B be t_{1} and from B to A be t_{2}.

A / Q

x/t_{1} = 10 m/s.t_{1} = x/10

x/t_{2} = 20 m/s.t_{2} = x/20

Average speed = 2x/ t_{1} +t_{2}

40x / 3x.

= 40/3 = 13.33ms^{-1}.

Therefore, average velocity is 0 and average speed is 13.33m/s.
