A man goes to his office on cycle at a speed of 20 km/hr and reaches 30 mins late. Next day, he increases his speed to 24 km/hr but he is still late by 10 mins. Find the distance between his office and home.​​

Let distance between office and home be x m.

Let the normal time taken to reach the office be y minutes

ATP,

20= x/(y+30)

24= x/(y+10)

20(y+30)= x = 24(y+10)

20(y+30)= 24(y+10)

20y + 600 = 24y + 240

600- 240= 24 y -20y

360=4y

y= 360/4

y=90

Therefore

x= 20( y +30)

=20(90+30)

= 20 (120)
