New salary is 154000 after increase 10% in his salary so his original salary will
first of all find 10% of new salary
it will 154000×10÷100=15400.
now, subtract 10% to new salary so
we will found 138600 rupees .
so his original salary is 138600 rupees.

intelligentayush126: it is wrong the answer is 140000

Given question:-

A man got a 10%increase in his salary.if his new salary is Rs 1,5,400

To find:-

find his original salary

Hence:-

Let ₹100 be his orginal salary.

New salary

10% = 100 + 100 = ₹110

Hence, 100 new salary of 110

So,1 = 100/110

= 100/110 × 15400 = ₹ 1,40,000

Hence, 1,40,000 is the orginal salary.
