Answer: ₹140000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let his original salary be x.

He got a 10% increase in his salary = 10% of x.

According to the question,

x + 10% of x = 154000

=>x+\frac{10}{100}x=154000\\\\=>\frac{100+10}{100}x=154000\\ \\=>\frac{110}{100}x=154000\\ \\=>x=154000*\frac{100}{110}\\\\=>x=1400*100\\=>x=140000

Therefore, his original salary was ₹1,40,000.

let the original salary x

increase of salary 10/ multiply by x

= 10x/100

new salary = x+10x/100

154000 = x +10x/100

154000 = 100+10x/100

154000 = 110x/100

15400000 = 10x

x = 140000

hence, 140000 rupees increased his salary

Hope it is helpful to you.
