HEY THERE!!

Question;

A man got a10% increase in his salary.If his new salary is 154000, find his original salary?

Method of Solution;

Let the original Salary = Rs x

•°• increase in salary 10%

°•° Increasing salary = 10% of x

•°• => 10/100 × x

=> 1/10 × x

=> x/10

Now, New Salary will be = x/10 + x =) 11x/10

Given:

His Total New Salary = 15,400

•°• New Salary = 11x/10 => 15,400

=> 11x = 15,400 × 10

=> 11x = 154,000

=> x = 154,000/11

=> x = 1,40,000

Conclusion;

Hence, The Original Amount of Salary = 1,40,000

Note; ∴ When increased salary is 154000, the initial salary is Rs 1,40,000.

To find:-

find his original salary

Hence:-

Let ₹100 be his orginal salary.

New salary

10% = 100 + 100 = ₹110

Hence, 100 new salary of 110

So,1 = 100/110
