a man had rupees 1200 part of which he lent at Rupees at 5% and the remaining at 4% he got rupees 106 as interest after 2 years the amount late at 5% is​

Answer:

let the money lent on 5%=x

then the money lent on 4%=(1200-x)

interest on x= (p×r×t)/100

= (x×5×1)/100

  • =5x/100

interest on (1200-x) = (p×r×t)/100

= {(1200-x)×4×1}/100

=(4800-4x)/100

total interest=interest on (5%+4%)

106=5x/100+(4800-4x)/100

106=(4800+x)/100

106×100=4800+x

10600-4800=4x

5800=x

5800=x

hence rupee lent on 5% is 5800
