5x + 3y = 98

on solving we get x = 19

thus Z can be an appropriate value

hence , number of plates = 19

number of glass = 1

number of spoons = 80

total items : 19 + 1 +80 = 100

total cost = (19× 5 ) + (1×3) + $\frac{80}{40}$
