Step-by-step explanation:

let x be no of 50p coins and let y be that of 25p coins.

now,rs 50=50 x 100p

so rs 50=5000p

now,50x = 25y and 50x + 25y = 5000

so,50x + 50x =5000

so 100x =5000

x=5000/100

x=50

now,50(50)=25y

25y=2500

y=2500/25

y=100

thus,there are fifty 50p coins and hundred 25p coins.
