Answer:

total pens are 1000

defective pens are 279

so, non defective pens are 1000 - 279 = 721

so,

probability of getting non defective pen is 721/1000

Answer:1/721 . Hope this helps you.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of pen : 1000

The number of defected pens : 279

The number of no - defected pen : Total number of pen - total number of defected pen .

= 1000 - 279

=721

Probability of getting a non - defected pen will be in a random pickup will be :1/ Total number of non - defected pen

=1/721
