A man has 3 sons, 2 daughters and a wife. they divided a sum of rs 19000 among themselves such that each daughter got 1.5 times the amount received by each son and his wife received 600 less than each son. what is the total amount (in rs) received by the 3 sons together? solution

then
there are three son
so
3 son amount = 3x


each doughter got 1.5 times rs than her brother
thus
= 1.5x

there's two daughters
so
= 2× 1.5x = 3x

and
his wife 600 less than each son
so
= X -600

nOw

3x +3x +X -600 = 19000

7x = 19000+600

7x = 19600

X = 19600/7

X = 2800

Thus each son have 2800 rs

& Three son have => 3×2800 = 8400Rs
