A man has been asked to repair a wooden wagon wheel. He starts to make a new iron tyre for the wheel. But the tyre is too small to fit over the wheel. Because iron is a subtance so he decides to use heat to make the particles in the tyre vibrate more, and need more space. It also means that he makes the tyre expands. But why does the man make the tyre too small to fit over the wheel at the first place???

He makes it tightly beacuse when the tyre will move on the floor there will be fraction and it will expand so to avoid this he makes it tight so that it can retain for some years . Just like why threre is gap between rails.
