Answer:

8 days

Step-by-step explanation:

If he takes half of his full meal for 4 days we can do this:

4 • 1/2 = 2

He saved a enough rice for 2 days (2 full meals)

For the next day, he took 1/3 of the full meal.

So, that day he saved 2/3 of rice on that day.

If you add 2 + 2/3, you will get how much rice he saved over the past 5 days. Which is 2 2/3.

If you eat a full meal for the next 2 days and 2/3 for the day after the next 2 days, that 2 2/3 saved rice will be finished in 3 days.

So, to get the total amount of days it will take him to finish the rice, add 5 + 3.

It will take him 8 days to finish the rice.

Hope this helps!
