let 20 Paisa coins be x and 25 paise coins be y. therefore according to the question,
x+y=50 ...(1)
20x+25y=1125 ...(2)
now we will solve it by any method out of substitution, elimination or cross multiplication.
(I have done substitution method)
from (1), x=50-y putting x=50-y in (2):
20(50-y)+25y=1125
1000-20y+25y=1125
1000+5y=1125
5y=1125-1000
5y=125
y=125/5
y=25 and x =50-y=50-25=25
thank u , hope it helps!

Suppose number of 20 paisa coins = x
And, number of 25 paisa coins = y

So, total coins => x + y = 50..........eq. 1

Now, total amount of 20 paisa coins = ₹20x
And, total amount of 25 paisa coins = ₹25y

So, total amount in purse=> 20x + 25y = 1125 paise...........eq. 2

Now, we multiply eq. 1 by 20,
Then, 20x + 20y = 1000.....eq. 3

Now, (eq. 2) - (eq. 3)

20x + 25y = 1125
20x + 20y = 1000
On substracting...

5y = 125

y= 25.....◆

Now on putting the value of y in eq. 1..

x +25 = 50

x= 25...◆

So.....number of 20 paisa coins (x) = 25

And, number of 25 paisa coins (y) = 25
