A man has only 20 rupee notes and 50 rupee notes in his wallet. If he has
15 notes in all totaling ₹ 510, how many notes of each kind does he
have?

x+y=15 (equation -1)

20x+50y=510 (eq.2)

×=15-y(eq 1 by solving )

put value of x in second eq

20(15-y)+50y=510

300-20y+50y=510

300+30y=510

30y=510-300

3oy=210

y=210/30

y=7

Now put value of y in eq 1 then u will get x = 8 then no of 20 rupee note is 8 and 50 rupee note is 7
