A man has to lift a sack of sugar weghing 240 N . If he use a single fixed pulley . How much effort will he need to apply? What will be the mechanical advantage.?​

Pulley does not give any mechanical advantage .it merely changes the direction of force. so you will need slightly more than 240 N counter gravitational pull to lift the weight .if you looking for mechanical advantage ,you can go for gear system.
