Answer:

Time taken to travel 50 km =

12.5

50

hrs=4hrs

Number of stoppages =

12.5

50

−1=3

∴ Total duration of stoppages = (3 x 20) min = 60 min = 1 hrs

∴ Total time to complete the whole distance = 5 hrs.

Answer:He has travelled first 20km in one hour.

He has to travel remaining 30km in 50 minutes because he has to stop 10 minutes for refueling. So he has to travel with a speed 30/(50/60)=30*6/5=36km/h.
