Man having a box on his head who climbs up a slope does more work against the force of gravity because he has more potential energy by virtue of his position i.e., height.As,

P.E. = W.D. = F × S

P.E. = W.D. = F × S= mg × h

Answer:

The man climbing up the slope, does work as:

W= F x S x cosθ

we take W= F x S as, in most cases cosθ becomes 1 as force is in direction of displacement and thus θ=0

The man walking on levelled road does work =0 as he does no work against gravity because displacement of load is normal to direction of force of gravity and we know:

W= F x S x cos θ and here θ= 90 degrees

so cos θ=0 and work = F x S x 0= 0

Thus, we can conclude that the man climbing up the slope does more work than man on levelled road as the man on levelled road does no work but man climbing slope does some work

Hope this helped, tried to explain in simple terms, pls mark as brainliest
