The distance between man and object = 429 m

Explanation:

When the sound moves to source and then reflect back . It will cover the distance two times . If the distance between man and wall is d .

The distance covered by sound is 2 d .

But the total distance covered = v x t

where v is the velocity of sound and t is the time taken

Therefore  d = v x t /2 = 332 x 1.5/2 = 429 m
