Answer:

Given :  A man hires an auto rickshaw to cover a certain distance he covers first 5/13 km at the rate of Rs 10 per km he gave Rs 380 to the auto driver said it is not the correct amount and returned him the balance.

To find : The correct amount paid back by the auto driver?

Solution :

The total distance =  km

Cost of travelling 1 km= Rs 10

According to question,

The cost to be paid to the driver is given by,

C=5/13X10=3.84

The cost he has to be paid is Rs.3.84.

He gave Rs 380 to the auto driver.

The amount left is Rs.380-Rs.3.84=Rs.376.16
