 A man holds an object of mass 20 kg at a height of 2 m for 20s. What is the work done in holding the object? ​

A body of mass 20 kg is held at a height of 2 m above the ground means there is no displacement because of which there is no change in its potential energy. Hence work done is zero.

  • The man is just holding the object,but we know that;

Work done = Force × Displacement

  • But their is no displacement of the object thus the work done will be zero.

W = F × D

W = F × 0

W = 0

Therefore, the work done will be zero.
