A man in an insulated metallic cage does not receive a shock , even when the cage connected to a high voltage source. why ?

It is because of he is in an insulated mettalic cage. Insulators are bad conductors of electricity or We can say that it is resistor.

Eg. Insulators: plastic, rubber, wood etc... Will not pass electricity through them
