Investment or Total Cost Price : Rs. 800
Cost Price of one share (CP) : Rs. 5
Selling price of one share (SP) : CP+Premium = 5 + 1.5 = Rs. 6.15

No. of shares = Investment/Cost price of one share = 800/5 = 160

Total Selling Price = 160* 6.15 = Rs.984

Profit = Total CP - Total SP = Rs. 984 - Rs. 800 = Rs 184

Profit% = (Profit/CP*100) = (184/800)*100 = 23%

∴ Profit = Rs 184 and Profit% = 23%

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Money investment = rs 800

Nominal value = rs 5

Premium = rs 1.15

Market value = N.V + premium

= rs 5. + rs 1.15

= Rs 6.15

No. of shares =

Money investment/Nominal value

= Rs.800/Rs.5

= Rs.160

Profit = No.of shares × premium

= Rs.160×Rs.1.15

= Rs.184.00

= Rs.184

Profit% = (profit/Money invest × 100%)

= (184/800 × 100)%

= Rs.23%

So, profit = Rs.184 and

profit% = Rs.23%
