At present
Age of man = x
Age of his son = x - 24

After 2years
Age of man = x + 2
Age of his son = x - 24 + 2 = x - 22

According to question
(x + 2) = 3 × (x - 22)
Simplify.....,
x + 2 = 3x - 66
2x = 68
x = 34

Age of man is 34 years and that of his son is 34 - 24 = 10 years

shreycupid7478: But in the question it is given that fathers age is 3 times than the son so hw can u take sons age as 3 times
JunaidMirza: Father’s age = 3 × Son’s age
shreycupid7478: ohk
shreycupid7478: yet i m not satisfied look what u have written in according to question
JunaidMirza: After 2 years.... age of father is equal to 3 times that of age of son. This in mathematical form is (x + 2) = 3 × (x - 22)

Answer:

Let the sons present Age be x years.

Then, Mans present age will be (x + 24) years.

According to Question :

➳ x + 24 + 2 = 3(x + 2)

➳ x + 26 = 3x + 6

➳ 26 - 6 = 3x - x

➳ 2x = 20

➳ x = 10 years

Therefore,the present age of his son is 10 years.

and the man age is x + 24 = 10 + 24 = 34 years.
