let sons age is x
fathers age is 24+x
two years later age of son is x+2
two years later age of father is 24+x+2=26+x
26+x=2(x+2).
26+x=2x+4
22+x=2x
22=x
so age of son is 22y
then age of father will be 24+22=46y
fathers age is 24+x
two years later age of son is x+2
two years later age of father is 24+x+2=26+x
26+x=2(x+2).
26+x=2x+4
22+x=2x
22=x
so age of son is 22y
then age of father will be 24+22=46y

Let the age of son be X
Then his father is X+24
it is given that after 2 years, so we will do X + 2 and X + 24 + 2. it is also given that the man's age will be twice of its son's age so the equation formed is
2 * (X + 2) = X + 24 + 2
2X+4=X+26
2X-X=26-4
X=22
so sons age is X which is equal to 22 then its father it will be 22 + 24 that is 46
Hope it helped you
