Let the age of son be x
Then age of father is x+24.
After 2 years,
Age of son = x+2
Age of father = x+24+2
= x+26
Now,
x+26 = 2(x+2)
x+26 = 2x+4
2x-x = 26-4
x = 22
Thus, age of the son is 22 years.

Let the present age of his son be x years

So, His present age will be ( x + 24 ) years

According to the given information, after 2 years,

( x + 24 + 2 ) = 2( x + 2 )

=> x + 26 = 2x + 4

=> 26 - 4 = 2x - x

=> 22 = x

Hence, Present age of son = x = 22 years

His present age = ( x + 24 ) = ( 22 + 24 ) = 46 years
