∴ present age of father = (x+ 26) yrs

After 10 years

Age of son will be = (x+10) yrs

Age of father will be = (x+26+10) = (x+36)years

According to the question

x+36 = 3 (x+10)

x+36 = 3x + 30

x-3x = 30–36

-2x = -6 ( ‘-’ SIGN CANCELS OUT )

∴ x = 3

Hence , the present age of son = 3 years

∴ Present age of father = 3+26 = 29 years
