» A man is 27 years older than his son.

• Let present age of son be (M) years

• Present age of father be (27 + M) years

» 10 years from now he (father) will be twice sa old as his son.

Now. ..

• Age of son = (M + 10) years

• Age of father = (M + 27 + 10) years

=> (M + 37) years

A.T.Q.

=> 2(M + 10) = 37 + M

=> 2M + 20 = 37 + M

=> 2M - M = 37 - 20

=> M = 17

_____________________________

Present age of son = 17 years (M)

Present age of father = 44 years (M + 27)

✡ Verification :

We have 2(M + 10) = 37 + M

From above calculations we have M = 17

Put value of M above

=> 2(17 + 10) = 37 + 17

=> 2(27) = 54

=> 54 = 54

OR

We have son's age = 17 years and father's age = 44 years.

Difference of both of their age is 27 years

=> Age of father - Age of son = 27

=> 44 - 17 = 27

=> 27 = 27
