A man is 27 years older than his son and 10 years from now he will be twice as old as his son. How old are the man and his son now ?​

Answer:

Let 'x' be the son's age. Then,

Man's age= 27+x ------(1)

After 10 years,

Son's age= x+10

Man's age= 2(x+10)

=2x+20 -------(2)

So, If we add 10 in (1), (1) and (2) would be the same.Then,

27+x+10=2x+20

37+x=2x+20

2x-x=37-20

x=17

Therefore, The present age of Son = x = 17

The present age of Man= 27+x

=27+17=44
