so age of man =x+28
according to the question
age of man after 10yrs=x+28+10 and age of son after 10 yrs =x+10

x+28+10=3(x+10)
=>x+38=3x+30
=>x-3x=30-38
=>-2x=-8
=>x=-8/-2=4

so present age of son is 4 Yrs
age of man=4+28=32 yrs

let's assume that M denotes the age of the men and S denotes the age of his son

Now, according to the question
M=S+28
M-S=28 and


M+10=3(S+10)
M-3S=20

subtracting second equation from first one we get
2S=8
S=4
substituting in first equation
M=32

so the men is 32 years old and his son is 4 years old.
