∴ Present age of father = x + 28

After 3 years,

Age of son = x + 3

Age of father = x + 28 + 3 = x + 31


According to the given condition

5(x + 3) = x + 31

☛ 5x + 15 = x + 31

☛ 4x = 16

∴ x = 4


∴ Present age of son ☛ x
