let the present age of son be x years
present age of father will be x + 30 years
After 12 years;
son's age = x + 12
father's age = x + 30 +12 = x + 42
A/q ;
x + 42 = 3 ( x + 12 )
or, x + 42 = 3x + 36
or, 2x = 42 - 36 = 6
so, x = 6/2 = 3 years
So, son's present age = 3 years
father's present age = 3 + 30 = 33 years
present age of father will be x + 30 years
After 12 years;
son's age = x + 12
father's age = x + 30 +12 = x + 42
A/q ;
x + 42 = 3 ( x + 12 )
or, x + 42 = 3x + 36
or, 2x = 42 - 36 = 6
so, x = 6/2 = 3 years
So, son's present age = 3 years
father's present age = 3 + 30 = 33 years
