Given that, A man is 32 years old and his son 4 years old. So let in 'x' years will the father be 3 times as old his son.....
Now, according to the question.....
=> 3(4+x) = 32+x
=> 12+3x = 32+x
=> 3x–x = 32–12
=> 2x = 20
=> x = 10
Thus, after 10 years the father will be 3 times as old as his son.
After 10 years the father will be 42 years old and the son will be 14 years old.
