A man is 4 times as old as his son. After 16 years he will be only twice as old as his son. find their present ages.

Answer:

Let at age of the son = x

Age of his father = 4 × x = 4x

Age of the son after 16 years = x + 16

Age of the father after 16 years = 2 × ( x + 16 )

= 2x + 32
