Given, age of man =56 yrs.
age of his son =24 yrs.
Let, n be the years at which man's age will be twice of his son's age.

therefore,
56+n = 2(24+n)
56+n = 48+2n
56-48 = 2n-n
" 8 = n "
so, after 8years man's age will be twice of his son's age.

Age of man = 56 yrs
Age of son =24 yrs

Let x be the age at which father will be twice as old as his son.

A/Q
56 +x = 2(x+24)
56+x = 2x+48
56-48 = 2x -x
8 = x
