At first , the man is facing North-West direction.

He moves across 85° anticlockwise direction. That means he moves along his left side.

Because anticlockwise means opposite direction of the clock's move. Here, it starts from left side of north -west, that is along his left side, and moves towards south-west making an angle of 85°.

Again he moves 55° at the same direction, means again he moves along his left side and reaches south-east direction.

Therefore, the position of the man is south-east direction.
