Let the present age of Son be x years
Then, The present age of Man is 4x years
Twenty years hence,
Man's age = 4x + 20
Son's age = x + 20
Given:
4x + 20 = 2 ( x + 20 )
4x + 20 = 2x + 40
2x = 20
x = 10
Hence. the present age of man is 40 years
And, his son's present age is 10 years
Then, The present age of Man is 4x years
Twenty years hence,
Man's age = 4x + 20
Son's age = x + 20
Given:
4x + 20 = 2 ( x + 20 )
4x + 20 = 2x + 40
2x = 20
x = 10
Hence. the present age of man is 40 years
And, his son's present age is 10 years
