A man is hanging from the free and of mass less rope of length 40 metre the mass of the man is 20 kg and the maximum tension that the Rope can bear in 300 N. Then starting from rest, the minimum time in which man can reach the other end off the rope is (g = 10m/s2)

Hello Dear,

◆ Answer -

t = 4 s

◆ Explaination -

Let a be maximum acceleration man can climb.

T = m (a + g)

300 = 20 (a + 10)

a = 15 - 10

a = 5 m/s^2

Let t be minimum time taken by the man to climb rope.

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

40 = 0×t + 1/2 × 5 × t^2

t^2 = 40 × 2 / 5

t^2 = 16

t = 4 s

Therefore, minimum 4 s will be taken by man to climb the tree.

Thanks dear...
